What you're paying for with the DLC is the start date and maybe some new playable factions (YTR/Nanman) but even if you didn't buy the DLC, the new systems, units and factions are still added to the main campaign regardlessĮverything added with the "DLC" is actually patched into the game and enhance the "main campaign".
